Summary, etc. biblio.abstract The business of child care is a relatively new enterprise in modern Indian society. The changing social and industrial scenario in the country has brought this need into sharp focus of child care professionals. The industry is becoming extremely lucrative for people who are trained in child education and are interested in making a successful career in the field. With the advent of nuclear families child care has become a necessity for the working mother. Traditionally grandparents and house help used to perform this job in most of the houses but with increase in nuclear household in India this practice seems to be on a decline. Parents today need professional child care so that they can pursue their professional and family life without hassles along with assurance of overall physical, emotional, psychological, educational growth of the child. Day care centre is a low-cost business with high profit if done with expertise and compassion for the children. Childcare involves a complete set of Physical, psychological and educational care related activities that have to be performed by a trained caretaker. Good child care business will make an important difference in the community with empowering people to carve a great future for themselves and for the parents whose children they are caring for. The strategy for the amount of time in the day care and the type of activities designed will determine the success or failure of the enterprise. Despite the promising prospects, child care entrepreneurs encounter various issues that can hinder their progress. Laws and regulations for setting child care centers in India vary with state and local authorities. There is no single federal law for the purpose. The traditional financial institutions are hesitant to provide funding due to lack of exposure and awareness about the importance of the craft. The number of trained child care givers is far less than the requirement. There is also lack of knowledge about the available training institutes in the industry. Innovation is at the heart of child care entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs are reimagining traditional models to better serve contemporary families. The future of child care entrepreneurship is promising, with several trends poised to shape its trajectory. While challenges persist, the opportunities for growth and impact are vast.
