Recent paradigm shift in photovoltaic approach in India - P 839-841

India has a lot of potential for producing renewable
energy from a variety of sources, including cogeneration
bagasse, biomass, small hydro, solar, and wind. India’s photovoltaic (PV) strategy has undergone a paradigm shift as one of the world’s fastest-growing
economies and a major energy user. At the moment,
solar and wind energy account for more than half of
India’s renewable energy sector’s capacity. With the
help of the government’s encouraging policies, technological advancements, and the active participation of
the private sector, India is rapidly increasing its capacity for renewable energy, as evidenced by a number
of expanding themes that define the nation’s solar PV
industries.
