A Review on Coronary Artery Disease and Its Inflammatory Biomarkers
- pp12-15
Coronary artery disease is the major cause of death worldwide. Plaque accumulation in the walls of the coronary arteries, which carry blood to the heart, is the cause of coronary artery disease. There are many factors that result in coronary artery disease, like obesity, smoking, alcohol consumption, etc. CAD is diagnosed using a coronary angiogram, a Doppler test, etc., but these tests are expensive and are not affordable by all the patients. This review article shows the readily available and cost-effective biomarkers that are used to diagnose CAD, like WBC, NLR ratio, C-reactive protein, LDL, MCVand MCH etc., for the patients who are diagnosed with CAD.
