A Review on Coronary Artery Disease and Its Inflammatory Biomarkers

<br/><br/> Coronary artery disease is the major cause of death worldwide. Plaque accumulation in the walls of the coronary<br/>arteries, which carry blood to the heart, is the cause of coronary artery disease. There are many factors that result in<br/>coronary artery disease, like obesity, smoking, alcohol consumption, etc. CAD is diagnosed using a coronary<br/>angiogram, a Doppler test, etc., but these tests are expensive and are not affordable by all the patients. This review<br/>article shows the readily available and cost-effective biomarkers that are used to diagnose CAD, like WBC, NLR<br/>ratio, C-reactive protein, LDL, MCVand MCH etc., for the patients who are diagnosed with CAD.
